Our family met Gwen when your family lived in Kamloops. Ryan and our son Kelly played baseball and hockey together. We spent countless hours together, but regretably lost touch when we moved to St.Albert and your family returned to Kelowna. We moved to Kelowna in 1997 and often wondered if your family still lived here. Regretably letting life getting in the way of contact. I am so sorry to hear of her death at such a very young age. Our sympathy from our family to you.

I will cherish the precious moments we had together for many years. She loved life to the fullest. Gwen didn’t gain the saying Mom ma Gwen for nothing she referred to as all my kids she would say. She was a mom ma to everyone she touched the life’s of. My heart goes out to Wayne and all her children and family. R.I.P Gweny. Till we meet again. Your friend Florence.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I only knew Gwen for a short time. We would drop our boys off at kindergarten and then go hike up Mount Boucherie. We had so much fun making costumes together for our girls for the figure skating club. Even though it was short time, Gwen was so very memorable – so outgoing and funny and loving, an original free spirit. A good mother with a beautiful relationship with Wayne, her influence was far reaching and the world is a sadder place with her passing.

  • Sheila Gaudreau says:
