We Remember

BRUNDIGE, Glen Allen

January 1, 1970 — January 1, 1970

Born in Lloydminster, SK Aug. 6, 1928 to Jessie Mildred Westgate and John McQueen Brundige, Glen died peacefully at home in Kelowna, BC Nov 18, 2017.

Glen grew up on the prairies during the ‘30s – a challenging era in our history. In his formative years he learned valuable life lessons that he followed to the end, including; family comes first, develop a strong work ethic (and enjoy your work!), you can create something out of just about anything, don’t ask anyone to do anything that you wouldn’t do yourself, and maintain high expectations of yourself and others, too.

He had a positive attitude right to the end, with his last quote being, “I’m looking forward to the next exciting adventure.”

By his side when he departed were members of his close family.

Left to remember happy times with a dedicated husband, devoted brother, proud father and wonderful grand and great grandfather are his loving wife Elisabeth (nee Ewald) and step-son John Schmitutz and partner Charlotte, brother Gordon and Pat Brundige, 3 daughters and their families: Linda and Gary Hanson (Dawn Hanson and Matthew Cooke, Sophie; Eric and Kristen Hanson, Graham and Cadence; Callie and Mike Service, Caius and Barrett), Wendy Brundige, Debra and Rick Williams (Myranda and Tyler Matser), half-sisters; Beverley Brundige, Shirley and Al Highton, Wendy and Frank Pawelko. Also remembering him are his former spouses Patricia Peters (nee Lalonde), and Judy Goodsky and her children Tammy, Adam, and Jon.

He was predeceased by half-sister Charlotte Levailant, brothers Walter and Leslie, and half-brother William (Bill) Brundige.

The world has one less millwright, boilermaker, gardener, dancer, inventor, fabricator and crib player – he will be missed.
