Condolences

  • Ena McMillan says:

I feel so very sad tonight , since I read Dorothys’ obituary. I am also sorry the card I sent her was returned to me , through my carelessness . I do hope she knew my thoughts were with her .She was a dear friend of mine , starting in Grade 9 at NVHS ! When we met , I knew she should be on our fastball team in LV . She was such a plus on that team that we won the BC title that year .
Frank and Dorothy were our very good friends over the years and we enjoyed them both so very much, especially on our Salmon Point visits!!
You were all so very lucky to have had such great parents. Love Ena
If I can find my photo albums— I will forward any pictures, later .

  • Margaret Jonsson (nee Leathem) says:

I have fond memories and am grateful for both your Mother and Father. Mrs. Copithorne was my Counsellor in 1955 at NVHS and she asked if I would like a Saturday job working with Dr. Copithorne when he rented a dental office in North Van. to begin his practice. Subsequently, in 1960, my husband and later, children became patients until he retired

  • Pam and Steve says:

We are so sorry to learn of your loss, know that our thoughts are with you all.

  • Tara (Deb) & Jerry Folk says:

Dear Carolyn, Arlynn, Doug and all your family we are sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom, Dorothy and send you all our deepest sympathy and prayers at this sad time. We have fond memories of fun times shared with your Mom at Carolyn and Roy’s house over the years. I also remember a particular time going for tea and treats with Carolyn to Dorothy’s house. Carolyn you can share that story with the family.

  • Sybil Nance says:

Arlynn, Douglas and Carolyn my memories are mostly all of us together enjoying times at 1950 orchard way , or Summer visits to Salmon point or I even remember a time I think on Saltspring all together. Your mom was laughter to me. She would smile Big and laugh often. As a child having this modeled for me was very impactful. As my god parents your parents were in someway more mine than they were Dave or VIV ‘s and I think I just felt that by how your mom spent time with me and took interest in me. I am sad to know that she has passed and I send you all my love at this time.

    Sybil
