Condolences

  • Gavin E Dirom says:

To Linda and I as well as our four children and ten grandchildren, Rob Emslie was always “Uncle Rob” a wonderful caring individual that was always in our thoughts. When Linda past away over 5 years ago, Uncle Rob would phone each year on the anniversary of her passing and we would share our stories about Linda as well as about the Emslie, Newby and Dirom families. He will be sorely missed by all those that knew him. My thoughts are with June and the Emslie family and the many he touched over the years

  • Guy Leclerc says:

I was very sad to hear Bob had passed away. I spoke to him just some weeks ago. Bob took me in his foursome of golf many years ago and we played together the last time he played. That was a little before he got to be 90 and he walked the course. I was amazed. He still could do it with such ease, so it seemed. Not to mention that he remembered the words of hundreds of songs. He would try a new one each time we played and ask me if I knew it or remembered it as we both were fans of the same music in the old days. Then he would try his French on me, what he remembered when he was stationed in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec during the War. A lot of it came back to him. I was really impressed with his abilities. And the sense of humor….

I have fond memories of Bob and the good time we had together

Jacqueline is joining me to offer Judy and the family our most sincere condolences .

To my dear Aunt June and all the beloved of Uncle Bob, my heart is with you in sadness for our loss. My debonaire Uncle Bob was always so charming, intelligent and witty; just a pleasure to be with. My Dad (Glenn Peardon) and I had such a wonderful time at cousin Allan and Theresa’s wedding because we got to share the day with Uncle Bob and Auntie June, what a treat! My heart and my hugs go out to you, Auntie June, and all of those who had the great gift of some time with Bob Emslie.
