EPP, Werner (Vern) Cornelius

February 5, 1938 — October 10, 2017

Werner Cornelius Epp, 79, passed away peacefully Oct 10, 2017.  He leaves his loving daughter Leah MacDonald (Doug); son Steven Epp; grandson Ryden Kungl; brothers: Victor Epp and John Epp (Val); sisters: Helen Rodgers (Sid), Rene Poole, Ruth Penninga (Ernie) and Carol Rempel (Ken).  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many close friends.  Vern was born in Herbert, Saskatchewan and raised in Kelowna.  He was the son of Isaac and Catherine Epp and was a resident of both Nelson and Kelowna.  Vern was a proud family man.  He built an A-Frame cabin near Nelson where he enjoyed boating and waterskiing.  Many cherished memories were made at the lake with his kids, family and friends.

Vern worked for BC Tel for 35 years as an Electronics Technician.  He was also an enthusiastic member of the Ham Radio Club.  Vern loved life and was a true people person.  A Celebration of Life will be held at Kelowna Gospel Fellowship, 3714 Gordon Drive, Kelowna, BC, on Thursday, October 12th at 7:00 pm.
