We Remember

GRAY, Almon John

July 15, 1927 — February 3, 2017

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Joe “A.J.” Gray. He is survived by his loving wife Rhoda of 68 years; sons Michael Gray and Gerald (Karen) Gray; daughter Patricia (Jeff) Gillis; grandsons Neil and Myles Gray and John and Calum Gillis as well as niece Leslie Nelson. Predeceased by his sisters Dorothy Christenson, his twin Alma Titus and his nephew James Lehman.

Joe was born on July 15, 1927 in Oliver, BC. He was involved in several ventures including ranching, small saw milling and fruit growing. He raised his family on an orchard in beautiful Glenmore. Joe loved to ski, play tennis and go RVing, visiting Alaska, most of the US and parts of Mexico.

He will be deeply missed by his family and many long time, dear friends – some of more than fifty years.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Donations in Joe’s memory can be made to the BC Alzheimer Society http://www.alzheimer.ca/bc.
