We Remember

HABIB, Sally Rene

April 19, 1966 — August 9, 2015

An angel on earth is what Sally was. On August 9, 2015 Sally was called back to her rightful place in heaven to be with God and her mother Rafea and brother Tony. Sally leaves behind her loving children, Andrew, Dominic and Jordell. She will be their angel, always watching over them. Sally is also survived by her loving father Andrew (Marie) of Kelowna; brothers and sisters, Simone (Nemr) of Calgary, David (Becky) of Kelowna, Mike (Bonnie) of Calgary, Sammy (Lana) of Calgary, Dale (Leanne) of Kelowna; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family all of whom loved her dearly and surrounded her during her final days. Sally was born in Calgary, Alberta on April 19, 1966 and in 1979 her family moved to Kelowna, BC. It was here that Sally started her own family and was blessed to have three amazing children of whom she would do anything for. Sally’s life would seem short to those that did not know her, but those of us touched by Sally know that her spirit will forever be branded in our hearts. Her beautiful personality, her love for people, life, and God brought so much happiness to many lives. Although she wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye, Sally knew her mission on earth was fulfilled. She gave us all such courage and strength and reminded us just how precious life is. Sally loved us all unconditionally, she lived for us and now she lives in us. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 11:00 am at Trinity Baptist Church, 1905 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation http://bccancerfoundation.com/.    For those wishing to send a condolence, photos or share memories, may do so by scrolling down this page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”

Dear Andrew, Dominic, Jordell, and the Habib family,
I first met Sally when she was a friend of my sister’s and then again when she brought Diminic to my preschool as a four year old. Sally was always larger than life, with a genuine smile and hello for everyone. Not once would she pass by without talking to you and asking how you were.
