We Remember

HALL, Donald William Henry “Buster”

October 22, 1921 — September 24, 2017

Donald William Henry “Buster” Hall passed away quietly in his spot by the window at home on Sunday, September 24, 2017. Buster was born in Kelowna to Jessie and George Hall.  He spent his life in Okanagan Mission and was dedicated to his family, his God and his community.

After high school and Sea Cadets, Buster enlisted in the Navy where he spent 7 years serving his country. Many remember Buster from his days operating the OK Mission Stage Lines bus company.  He loved to hike, garden, sail and canoe when he wasn’t playing cricket, tennis, badminton or golf.  He could always be counted on to fix the church bell, light the furnace at the church or school, or whatever else needed to be done.

Buster will be forever remembered and cherished by his loving family, wife of almost 67 years, Lois; daughter Susan (Bill) Van Noortwyk; sons George Hall and Edward “Ted” (Emelia) Hall; grandchildren Lindsay (Dan) Erb, Kristin (Jim) Stewart, Jessica (Brent) Markus, Mike (Kelli) Hall, Robyn Hall (Kelson Willms), Jannelle Hall and Kelsey Hall; great-granchildren Grady and Meliya Stewart, Olivia and Mya Markus, Shayla, Brandon and Connor Hall; numerous nieces and nephews on the coast; as well as God-family Barbara Farris, Judy (Ken) Johnson, Blake, Melanie (Graham) Odlum, and Penny and Oscar.

At Dad’s request, there will be a private service and interment at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church and Cemetery.
