We Remember

HAMILTON, Shirley Lynn

Shirley Lynn Krazanowski was born in Vancouver, BC on May 13, 1952; the last child of ten, she and her siblings faced many challenges through childhood and adolescence. Lynn married in 1971 and started a new and better life.  She had two children Kevin and Tabitha.  She loved animals and always had several cats and a dog or two.  Lynn loved her Great Danes and had many throughout her life.

Lynn loved taking care of the home, gardening and being with her family. She worked hard on the family farm in Aldergrove creating fond memories of rounding up cows running free, battling angry roosters and collecting swarms of bees. After moving to Cranbrook, Lynn purchased a horse and loved riding it whenever she could as horses were special to her.  Upon moving to Kelowna in 1986, she ran a part time home cleaning business until she was diagnosed with ALS in 2009.  She fought hard and bravely until finally succumbing to the disease.  Lynn passed peacefully at home with family by her side on June 16, 2016.

Lynn is survived by her husband David, her children Kevin and Tabitha, grandchildren Avery, Ethan, Kerris, Angus and Brigette, and her special sister Evelyn. She would be most appreciative if you donated in her memory to the ALS Society of BC, www.alsbc.ca.
