We Remember

HAWS, Ronald (Ron) Entwistle

December 13, 1943 — September 2, 2018

Ron was born in New Westminster, BC. Predeceased by loving parents Irene and Harold Haws. Ron attended UBC in Vancouver and obtained a degree in Economics and Geography. His working life led him to the executive level with Chrysler Canada in both Vancouver and Calgary where he spent 32 years loving the work he did, tremendously proud of the car and truck product lines. He retired in 2007. Ron is survived by his wife of 41 years, Gail; daughter Kelly (Haws) Evans and son-in-law Tim Evans of Vancouver; son Bradley Haws and daughter-in-law Kelly Haws of Calgary; grandchildren Cameron and Kaitlin Haws; sister Janice Cruickshank and brother-in-law Gary Cruickshank; and nephew Todd Cruickshank.
Ron will be remembered as “Good Guy”, always with a smile on his face. He was a very loving Father, Husband and Grandfather to his family. He loved all sports, especially hockey. He loved to golf, waterski and play tennis.
To the RNs, LPNs and caregivers at the Village At Mill Creek in Kelowna, our eternal thanks and gratitude goes out to you for the exceptional care and kindness given.
