We Remember

HOLTOM, William

Peacefully succumbing to COPD on February 15, 2017, Bill went to be the Lord Jesus and His Angels in Heaven. Leaving behind his loving wife of 60 years Loretta, who was his angel and the love of his life; his five loving children Terry (Deb) of Kelowna, Donna (Norm) of Panoka, Sonia of Grande Prairie, Connie (Kevin) of Kelowna and Allen (Corrie) of West Kelowna; as well as his eleven loving grandchildren Nik, Ashley, Cody, Bryce, Reid, Priscilla, Amber, Chelsea, Dayne, Dallas and Jacob; two great grandchildren Masia and Asia.

William was born in Prince Albert, Saskatoon in 1934. He was extremely gifted with his hands, building almost every house for his family to live in. He retired in 1989 from BC Tel after 35 years of dedicated service, which was a career that allowed him and his family to live in many communities throughout BC. He also built quality furniture in his shop as a side business in Dawson Creek. He loved the smell of wood (especially cedar), to work hard and play hard, to camp, RV (to Yuma), hunt, fish, garden, watch hockey, cook gourmet meals, barbeque on his deck for his family and to live life to the fullest. He always had a passion and a respect for the outdoors and loved spending time on his boat in Kitimat.

He will be missed greatly. Enjoy that glass of wine in heaven. We celebrate your life! Cheers to a great man.  Donations in William’s memory may be made to the Canadian Lung Association/COPD by visiting www.lung.ca/copd.If you wish to send a condolence, post photos or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”
