We Remember

JACOB, Wilfred Konrad Joseph

It is with great sorrow that we share the news of the passing of Wilfred Konrad Joseph Jacob on August 2, 2018 at Kelowna General Hospital.  Wilf quietly succumbed to medical complications, however, we are relieved that his passing was peaceful and painless in the end.

Wilf enjoyed family above all else, and he shared his gentle nature, strong work ethic, and high moral values with all that he knew.   These qualities will live on with his family and friends and will become his legacy.  He will be remembered for his humble ways, his love of baseball, woodworking, and his uncompromising attention to detail.  He spent the past 40 years overcoming the impossible, rarely complaining, and always demonstrating kindness and his insatiable love of life.  By conquering the many hardships throughout his life, Wilf taught us all to be strong and confident in overcoming each obstacle that life throws at us by never giving up, but it is now time for him to have a well-deserved rest in Heaven.

Wilf is survived by his loving wife Gail – a faithful companion to the end, his daughter Holly, and sons Scott (Jackie), Todd (Kim) and Jason (Heidi), his grandchildren Joel, Dallace, Madison, Jackson, Marina and Sierra and siblings Betty, Ron, Robert, Winnie and Ruth.   We are proud to be your children Dad, and better people for having had you in our lives.

“Dad – may your chisels be sharp, your cuts square, and your rum and coke ever full!”
