Due to a cycling accident, Patricia was sadly and tragically taken from us on July 15, 2015. She leaves to mourn her passing, her son Ethan, Ethan’s father Eldon, her mother Alice Sullivan, her father George Sullivan, her brother Erin (Nickie) Sullivan and their children Luke, Zoe, Kylee and Nicolas; her maternal grandmother Harriet Hughes and paternal grandmother Helena Sullivan. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 22nd at 4:00 pm at the Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC.

One of my fondest memories of Patricia; teaching us how to eat a lobster like a true easterner. From knees knocking during the early Urban staff meetings, to confidently controlling the floor, Patricia became the mother figure who cheered us on…and kept us in line. Her smile was infectious and her kindness unfailing. My office companion and friend, you will forever be loved and missed.
My deepest condolences go out to Patricia’s family during this time of sorrow and grief. To Ethan, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

My deepest sympathies. Patricia embodies the biggest spirit I’ve ever seen for such a small package. She always put others before herself and gave selflessly and without hesitation. She was our champion, our friend, and our family. I will miss her kindness, her feisty spirit, and her zest for life. She was a devoted mother and loved her family very much. Ethan was her pride and joy and I know through Ethan her spirit lives on. Patricia will be sorely missed but never forgotten. Patricia was not only our co-worker and friend, she was a huge part of our work family. We are consumed with sadness, and left with such a huge void that we know can never truly be filled.

Patricia was much more than a colleague of mine – we were like minded and hit it off from the very first time we met. We became very good friends over the years and I will truly miss her. I was stunned to learn of Patricia’s sudden and tragic passing. I worked with Patricia from back in her Calgary days and was thrilled to be working with her again when the family first moved to Kelowna. She was a consummate professional and an amazing person. I am so very sorry for your loss.

My heart goes out to all of the family. It’s difficult to imagine what you are going through right now. I hope you can take some comfort from knowing how much your dear Patricia was loved and appreciated by her Urban family. She had a hugely positive impact on people in Kelowna and beyond. She was universally held in such high regard and I can honestly say that I never heard a negative word spoken about Patricia. Speaking personally, I always appreciated her warmth, her determination and resilience and her fabulous sense of humor. She was one of a kind — truly. We will miss her deeply.
It’s been such a privilege to know Patricia, to work with her, to have meaningful conversations as part of my memories of her. I know that she has been a gift to many people’s lives, and I want you to know how much of a gift she was to mine. Patricia is someone who had a deep and meaningful impact on my life, and I will always remember her with immense gratitude. She gave me so much and I am eternally grateful.

I didn’t get to spend as much time as I wanted to with Patricia; however, when I did I always had a smile on my face. She was a wonderful person and always made sure to make me feel like she cared. I’m deeply saddened and her family are in my thoughts.
So very sorry, Alice. I never knew your daughter but I know a mother’s heart and the love of a mother for her child. Your situation will be in my prayers. God’s presence and peace be with all of you.

Let me start by saying that this is still strange to think of Patricia as gone. She is on holidays and will be back soon….but I know that is not true. She was such a vibrant part of office life that it doesn’t seem real. I will miss that smiling face and the laughter that brightened my day so many times. I will miss my running buddy and my sounding board.
Patricia was that perfect mix of business and fun. She played both roles so well that you just had fun when she was around. She that person that made coming to work fun. In her quiet way she elevated the whole office and made us better people. Those words “have you got a minute” would strike fear coming from anybody else. From Patricia it was an invitation to explore things. At the end she left you feeling good about all the new ideas you came up with.
Patricia leaves a big hole that will never be filled in the same way. We will go on and we will have fun again but we will always miss her.

She helped us out in our Vancouver office in a big way a few years ago. I did not her so well then but thought I should give her a call. Sincere condolences to Patricia’s family. I was deeply saddened to hear the news of her accident and passing. I was fortunate enough to be able to spend some time getting to know her one day after work, during one of her whirlwind visits to the Vancouver office, just a few months ago. I knew the moment I met her 2.5 years ago, at one of my interviews, that she was a kindred spirit. She always greeted everyone with a smile. Rest in Paradise Patricia.
