We Remember

KRUSEL, Irma Violet

January 31, 1931 — November 21, 2017

Irma Violet Krusel (nee Hak) went to her Heavenly Home on November 21, 2017 at the age of 86. She died in Hospice House due to complications from a rare type of cancer.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter Darlene (Ian) Brown of Vancouver; two sons Allan (Shirley) Krusel of Edmonton, Don (Gail) Krusel, Prince Rupert/Victoria; sister Frieda Splett; niece Dianna Rawson and sister-in-law Ann Hak; three precious granddaughters Kristin Brown, Brianna Brown and Olivia Krusel; grandson Robert and step-grandchildren Michelle, Nicole, Holly and Calum; numerous step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Predeceased by her father and mother John and Ida Hak; brothers Erich Hak and Hugo Hak; brother-in-law Henry Splett; sister-in-law Ingrid Hak and nephew Gary Splett.

A big thank-you to her family doctor, Dr. Michael Purdon, to Dr. Kong Khoo and Dr. Gillian Fyles at the BC Cancer Agency for their excellent medical care and compassionate attention and to the kind and dedicated staff at Hospice House and Okanagan Chateau. Also, thank you to Pastor Ed at Grace Lutheran for his loving spiritual care and fellowship.

The funeral, officiated by Pastor Ed Skutshek and Pastor David Wunderlich, will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 1162 Hudson Road, West Kelowna, on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 11 AM. For those who wish to attend, a viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 10:00 – 10:40 AM.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Grace Lutheran Church, the BC Cancer Foundation www.bccancer.bc.ca or Central Okanagan Hospice House www.hospicecoha.org .
