We Remember

LEACH, Kenneth Arthur

April 27, 1951 — March 17, 2019

Kenneth passed away peacefully at the age of 67 years on Sunday, March 17, 2019, in Kelowna, BC. He was born April 27, 1951 in Regina, SK. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph & Margaret Leach. Ken will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sharon; son Kevin (Darla); daughter Karen (Dan); five grandchildren, Hayden, Braeden, Ava, Brielle, Addison; brothers Robert (BettyAnn), William (Lori); nephew, Shaun (Sandee) niece, Tracy (Brad) daughters Hailey, Serena; nephew, Joe daughter Arabella; brother-in-law Calvin (Melody) as well other nieces, nephews and very special friends.
Ken was proud of his lifetime career with the Leader-Post in Regina, Saskatchewan. He was grateful for the many long lasting friendships he made over the years.
Ken will be remembered for his quiet courage and bravery as his health was challenged throughout the years.  He was a gentle man who loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandkids. He dedicated much of his time in hockey rinks, on the soccer pitch and in gymnastics centres cheering them on in what they love to do. He was a loved fan and will be dearly missed.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Ken’s brother Bob Leach for giving Ken the gift of life following his stem cell donation and a successful transplant in 2002. As a result, we have enjoyed many precious years since.
We would also like to thank the numerous healthcare providers that cared for Ken over the years. A special acknowledgment to Dr. Graeme McCauley and Dr. Michael Bobyn for the wonderful patient care provided to Ken over the years and for always treating him as a person first and foremost.
At Ken’s wishes there will not be a funeral.  He would have enjoyed if everyone would treat themselves to a strawberry sundae in his honour while you share fond memories.
