  • Terry Lys says:

Sincere condolences on the passing of Mr Lucas. We wore rubber bands around our wrists when we cleaned geese after hunting season because he said the bug(s) couldn’t jump over them and crawl up our arms. Could never tell if he was serious or joking again.

  • Lynnette MacKay (Nahirney) says:

Mr. Lucas was always very kind to me. As a young child, I remember he would help me to pick the best Bing cherries from his backyard trees. But most memorable was his generosity when in 1989, he agreed to supply and ‘chauffeur’ his Motorhome for me and five others to our High School Graduation at KSS; everyone was so impressed with these resources and I think Mr. Lucas had a good chuckle too!
I send big hugs to the family and please know my thoughts and memories are with you.

  • Ken Jackson says:

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Uncle Clarence. I have so many fond memories of spending time with him at moms or on the farm, be it Christmas (skating on the slough), Easter (picking rocks), or spending the harvest working as best as a city kid could to learn about farming, driving grain trucks, moving augers etc. And oh that lovely well water!!!! At least the slough was great to swim in. Spending time in Sicamous in the summers, Learning to play hearts, crib or bridge the Lucas way, interesting times for 12-13 YR OLD to play those games with the uncles. No taking it easy on the kid. I learned so much from Uncle Clarence and he was certainly part of moulding me into the man I am today. It is with much regret, that I am not able to attend the service tomorrow, but my heart, thoughts and prayers will be with you all….. Love Ken Jackson

  • Patricia Lys says:

My condolences to the family for your loss. I remember Mr. Lucas as being an intelligent, thoughtful and considerate man. But most of all I remember his sense of humor, it always left me a bit off-kilter.
    My thoughts are with you.

  • Lorne Purdy says:

We just learned of Uncle Claarence’s passing yesterday. Our prayers and our thoughts go out to you during this difficult time. We have several memories of Unlce Clarence and Auntie Louise. They came to visit us when we lived in Kelowna in the early 70’s. When Judy and I got married we couldn’t afford a photographer so he graciously offered to be the official “picture taker” as he had a quality 35mm camera. We appreciated it very much. Of course we think of him every time we review our wedding photographs. Our thoughts about Uncle Clarence are those of a most gracious, kind and gentle human being. We will continue to remember him.
