  • Penny and Bob Hanuszak says:

I was so sad to read today that Bev had passed away. When my husband and I moved into our first house on 88th Avenue in Surrey in 1971, Bev and Gladys Mills and their children were our new neighbors. I can’t say enough about this friendly caring family. Bev was funny, compassionate, friendly and always there to lend a hand or teach us something. We enjoyed many fun times with the Mills, hold a very big spot in our hearts for both of them. We last saw Bev a few years ago when we ran in to him at Surrey Place doing his taxes. He was the same great guy and willing to regale us with a story about the tax department and all that was wrong with it. His big smile and hearty laugh always made our day. Our condolences to Gladys, Joanne, Rob and Mike and the rest of the family. Know that we’re thinking of you. Note: we’ve been trying all spring to find someone who knew where Bev and Gladys were because he had wanted to touch base with them, so if any of you are able to send us an email so we can catch up we’d appreciate it.
