We Remember

MOAR, Beryl (Elva)

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Beryl Moar on September 7, 2017.  Beryl was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan on October 2, 1927.  She is lovingly remembered by her husband Gordon Moar; brother Gordon Langman; two sons: Ivan (Marlene), Eldon (Judy); grandchildren: Kyle, Morgan, Elliot and Alexis.  Mom enjoyed tatting, canning fruits and vegetables, reading and when she was younger, she was known to donate her time at Cottonwoods in the hairdressing department.

You gave love so generously to all.  Grandma, you are so loved, so real, the most beautiful and strongest woman we know.  For the rest of our lives, we will reflect on the unbelievably great times we’ve shared and will continue to share as the “Moar” legacy goes on.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 22nd at 1:30 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, 1380 Bertram Street, Kelowna, BC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cottonwoods Care Home, 2255 Ethel Street, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 2Z9.  The family extends, with respect and gratefulness to the staff at Cottonwoods, thanks for the loving care given to our mother.  If you wish to send a condolence, post photos, or to share a memory, please scroll down this page to the area called “share your condolences.”

Our sincere condolences to Gordon, Ivan , Eldon and family. We have known Beryl for many years and had many memories through out the years with them in Hawaii, playing cards and just being very good friends. I miss Beryl’s phone calls chatting about canning crafts etc. She was a super, kind person and will be missed to all who knew her.
