We Remember

MUENZ, Steven

March 22, 1949 — July 14, 2017

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steve Muenz. He passed away peacefully surrounded by love.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Sandi and daughters, Caitlin (Chad) & Devon, his precious grandson Ben, sister Ellen (Stan), sister-in-law Linda (Don), nephews David (Marni) and Philip. We want to thank our “friend family” for the unwavering love and support they gave Steve and us through his courageous battle. Steve’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and hearing Ben giggle like only Ben can.

He had a lifetime of volunteer work with the Jaycees and then the Lions Club where he dedicated much of his time fulfilling the needs of others.

He was an Engineer with the City of Kelowna for 25 years.

Steve will be sorely missed by many.

The family wants to thank the BC Cancer Agency for the excellent care that they provided him, specifically, Dr. Dueck and his staff. We also want to thank the wonderful nursing staff of KGH 6 West and Hospice House for the kind and attentive care that Steve received.

Memorial service and reception will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 4:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna. In lieu of flowers, Steve would appreciate donations to the Lions Dog Guides Program at www.dogguides.com
