We Remember

MYETTE, Kathleen (Lintott)

September 20, 1923 — October 6, 2018

With heavy hearts we announce that Kae has passed away peacefully in Kelowna at the age of 95.  She was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Marcel “Tom”, her brother Harry and her sister Doris.  She is survived by her soul mate sisters Gwen and Margaret “Peggy”.

Kae’s memory is cherished by her proud sons Ken (Louise), Larry (Ardis), Steve and Brian (Margaret), and daughters Sue (Grayson) and Donna (Jordan).  She has been a wonderful grandmother to Stacey (Corey), Aaron, Andrew, Ashli (Matt), Brittani (Kevin), Courtney, Darien (Ed), Christopher (Taelor), Jamie (Dustin), Adele (Andre), Kelly, Matthew, Nathan (Julie), Graeme and Kim as well as her twelve adorable great-grandchildren.

Kae was born and raised on a farm in Manitoba before her family emigrated to BC when she was a young teenager.  She attended high school in Penticton where she excelled academically and in athletics and music.  After graduation Kae worked for the telephone company for two years, then joined the Air Force and served in Victoria as a communications specialist during WWII.  She married in 1946 and lived in Victoria, Penticton and Surrey as she raised her large family.  She and Tom eventually retired in Enderby before moving on to Kelowna to be closer to her family.  Kae had a full and rewarding life and she has been an inspiration and blessing to everyone who knew her.  She will always be remembered for her spunk, her caring attitude and her genuine love for family and friends.
