It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eddy Pastuch on April 4, 2017.   Eddy’s impact on the world was great.  As the patriarch of the family he modeled behavior that taught all of us how to be better people.  He showed us what unconditional love was and allowed us to take risks and make mistakes because his love always made us safe.  He and his wife, Flo, spent 63 years together riding storms and sharing happy times with a love that could endure anything.  They made it possible to believe in true love.  Wherever they went together they were followed by comments like “Aww, aren’t they cute!”  or “Isn’t that amazing!”  Eddy’s love and character didn’t only touch the lives of his family.  He was a standing member of the Masons.  He had a long successful career, until he retired at age 78.  Everyone who worked for/with him was impressed by his demeanor and his ability to fix or design anything.  Children were always drawn to him and remembered his effect on them for their whole lives.  Boys and men who met him throughout his life, even briefly, all say the same thing.  “He is the man I aspire to be someday”.  All of the friends they have made over the years feel like they are part of an extended family.  He was a huge Rockets fan, proudly sporting his Rockets jersey at the games during his 18 years as a season ticket holder.  During game intermission Eddy and Flo are visited at their seats by other fans who have been around them at games including a 15-year-old girl who met them when she was only 2.   He was a simple, humble man who had a far-reaching effect on the world. Eddy was predeceased by his beautiful daughter, Joanne, his granddaughter, Amanda and his son-in-law Mark. Because Eddy was a papa, grandpa, great grandfather, dad, uncle and friend to so many it is difficult to write the list of those who survived him.  Immediate family included, his wife Flo, daughter Jan, grandchildren Juana (Randy), Jason (Taryn), Kathy (Mark), Ashley (Steven) and Cassandra (James) and great-grandchildren Carson and Max, niece Joyce and other numerous nieces and nephews.
