Hilde retained her German heritage and was a long-time valued member of the Germania Club ladies group in Hamilton serving in many capacities including president.

In 2017 Hilde moved to Kelowna to be near her daughter Evelyne.

  • Annemarie Kiss says:

On behalf of the Ladies of the Germania Club Frauenverein, we extend to you are most heartfelt condolences. Hilde was an active member for 47 years and will be sorely missed by us all. We look back on many fond memories and smile as we recall all the fun times we shared. She was very much a lady and always packed several outfits with matching jewelry to our annual cottage trip and came prepared with her 3 nickels for our evening card game of 31. We enjoyed listening to her stories of her travels with her beloved husband. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

  • Marguerite Camus-Platz says:

Sweet memories will always stay tucked in my heart. Love never ends. Thoughts and prayers are with you, Evelyne at this sad time.
