—
Tara Pollard, born on December 7, 1977 in Kamloops, BC, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Kelowna General Hospital on March 25, 2018. She is survived by her loving family: 2 sons Jake and Brody; parents Ed and Lois Pollard; brother Travis (Kelly) Pollard and their daughter Emma; sister Kirsten (Lee) Kime and their daughters Molly and Griffen.
Tara was born on Dec 7, 1977 in Kamloops, BC. She moved to Kelowna when she was 3 yrs old and spent many wonderful years growing up there. She went to OKM secondary school for 2 years and then transferred to KSS from which she graduated in 1995. She then moved to Vancouver, BC and went to the Blanche Macdonald Centre to become a Make-up artist and Esthetician. She worked for many years, had 2 beautiful boys Jake (10yrs) and Brody (5yrs) and moved to Maple Ridge, BC. Her most recent wish was to go back to school to become an Education Assistant. She spent many hours helping at the boys’ elementary school in Maple Ridge. She had a huge love for her family and close friends. She travelled back and forth from Maple Ridge to Kelowna frequently to see them all. In her final days, she was surrounded by her loved ones. She will be sorely missed.
A Celebration of Tara’s Life will be on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. Tara was someone I never forgot and have thought about many times over the years. Tara worked for me at Wendy’s many years ago. I am only a couple years older so we got along well and we spent time together outside of work. She was always smiling and happy and we laughed a lot. My heart hurts for Jake and Brody and the rest of this family. ❤

I just can’t seem to find the right words, as this has been so sudden and shocking, All I can come up with for now is I love you all!! And am glad this is such a strong and loving family.
Our hearts go out to you at this very sad time. It’s so hard to understand how life can change so drastically, so quickly. We have to hold those that are still with us so close and the those who aren’t even closer. Tara will live on in her beautiful boys and you will all see her every time you look at her boys. This is terrible and shocking news. Tara was my high school friend and we reconnected in adulthood. I’m so sorry to the family, I will be bringing my respects to the funeral.

Your laugh was extremely unique and contagious, your sense of humour was one of a kind. I’m grateful we had so many great years together to share some amazing memories with us and our children. She will always be remembered, as I will forever hold her in my heart, I will never forget the image of her energy, bright face and her infectious laughter. To the Pollard Family, to learn the passing of Tara was just as shocking to us, as I am sure that it was for you. No words can fill the void that is inside of all of you. Take pride in knowing that Tara will be watching over all of us. Our hearts feel for all of you during your time of loss. People come into and out of each other’s lives and there was a reason why we met. We will miss seeing Tara and hearing the kackle of her laugh. I remember Tara as a sweet, happy child. She made a comment to me one time that she enjoy coming to my place because I always had some kind of baking. My heart and prayers go out to all the family. She will be miss by so many.
Tara, I can’t believe you’re gone. I wish I had more time to talk to you, chat with you further about being an EA. That was a few things we had in common. I had so much to share with you about what was happening around the school. Wherever you may be Tara, I hope you’re resting in peace., You left far too soon.
