Potzkai Carl


Carl passed away on April 29, 2017 at the age of 59. Survived by his loving daughters Misty Nichol Potzkai, Sherry Lynn Potzkai both of Namaimo, BC; grandchildren Nick and Jaxon Potzkai; sisters Brigitte (Bill) Gibson of Lake Cowichan, BC, Beate (Derek) West of Canmore, AB; brothers Bernd (Bodil) Potzkai of Edmonton, Brian (Michelle) Potzkai of Kelowna; niece Kathy Desaulnsers; nephews Calvin, Alex and Nathan Potzkai, James Potzkai, John Zurr and Don Hanna.  Predeceased by his mother Martha Potzkai, father Ewald Potzkai.  Carl was a long-standing member of the Army & Navy and will be missed by his many friends and family.  A Celebration of Life will be held on May 21, 2017 from 12 noon – 3:00 pm at the Army & Navy, 270 Dougall Road, Kelowna, BC.  Should family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to BC Heart & Stroke Foundation, #4 – 1551 Sutherland Ave., Kelowna, BC V1Y 9M9.

  • So sorry to hear of Carl’s passing. He was a fun guy and can now tease the angels in heaven-they will keep an eye on him for sure. Last time I saw him was Army & Navy, Rutland. RIP Carl-will have a drink for you later in May. Blessings to you and family
