We Remember

POWELL, Maureen Elizabeth

November 12, 1950 — January 16, 2017

Passed away peacefully with Alan by her side at home in West Kelowna. She will always be remembered for her cheerful personality, her laugh and her love of all those who knew her.  Predeceased by her father James Owen Maxwell, she leaves behind husband Alan; sons James (children Natalie, Olivia, and Reese) and Michael; mother Yvonne; sister Deborah; and brother Bill.  Everyone who knew her were affected by her love of life, love of sparkle and bling, and her love of all her friends.  She will always be remembered by everyone who met her.  Born in Vancouver, her family moved to Vernon and then to Edmonton and Calgary.  Maureen and Alan moved to West Kelowna to care for her father and mother in 2005.   In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kelowna Hospice House, 2035 Ethel Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 2Z6 in Maureen’s memory.  There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
