We Remember

REYNOLDS, Arthur Gerald “Jerry”

May 14, 1930 — October 20, 2019

Jerry passed away peacefully in Kelowna, BC, with family by his side. He was a proud Albertan, born in Drumheller and calling Rowley, Bowness, Fort McMurray and Calgary home throughout the years. Jerry was serving with the Canadian Navy as a wireless operator when he met the love of his life Gloria in a beautiful love story. Gloria predeceased Jerry in 2017 just days short of their 65th wedding anniversary. In 1984 Jerry achieved his dream of owning and operating his own restaurant, fondly known to the people of Fort McMurray as Harpo’s, until he and Gloria retired back to Calgary. Jerry was the proud Father of Ferne O’Neil, Kyle Reynolds, and Brandy Rigby who along with their families will always cherish his memory. Jerry was a legendary Grandfather who loved to spend time with and spoil his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Although they miss him dearly, Jerry’s strong legacy will live on in perpetuity through all of them.

Jerry entertained many friends and his family with his self-taught piano music and his great sense of humour. Jerry was renowned for his immense loyalty to Gloria and his kindness to anyone who needed a hand up.
