Words cannot describe how sad this news is…Gordon was the best man at my first wedding and I went to high school with him. I would run into him here and there when he was delivering mail. Always with a smile and a story. Happy with life. Words cannot soothe but maybe they can support…please cherish the memories of Gordon. Deepest sympathy to the whole family.

    Dear Bonnie and family,

I hope that you can find some comfort in one another. Janice and I are so saddened at your loss. Like so many others, we are confused at the passing of such a wonderful person.

  • Sonia Hampson says:

Bonnie and family, words cannot express how tragic this loss is. I had the pleasure of coaching Gord for a number of years and he was always such a positive influence on the dragonboat. He always gave encouragement to his teammates and always wanted to get better, try harder, but more importantly to enjoy what we were doing. He was a huge part of our team and will be dearly missed in many respects. I have attached a memory from the July 2016 Harrison Dragonboat Festival, of our row 5 paddlers. RIP buddy.

    Bonnie and Family

Deep sympathy on your stunning tragic loss. He was always a friendly cheerful addition and I can’t recall a single time he uttered a harsh or negative word. His absence will be felt, as will his spirit.

    Bonnie,
I’m so happy I got to see you briefly yesterday and express my sadness at the unexpected loss of Gord! Like others, I must say he was a wonderful co-worker. He always took the time to help whenever needed. He was a very kind, gentle man and I feel very fortunate to have known him. I’m sorry I can’t attend the service tomorrow but You and your family will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers!

  • Sara Gramiak says:

Gord was the kindest person and such a gentleman. It was an honour to be able to paddle on the same dragon boat team , have him be our awesome postie for a few years, and to be able to call him my friend. Gord was always smiling ,happy and asked how you were. You will be in my thoughts on my next paddle buddy. Prayers and thoughts are with his family at this difficult time. Rest in peace Gord.

  • Keith Newcomb says:

    Dear Bonnie and Family,
I first met Gordon through work. It didn’t take long to realize Gord was a shining example of a good and caring man. Friends over the years, Gord was one of a few who spent the day with me on my proposal date to my wife, Sue. The first time I saw Bonnie and Gord together, I thought “What a great match” and this continued over the years. Gordon’s shining presence will be missed by all who knew him.

    Bonnie + Family
Gord was a great guy…enjoyed camping at Arlington Lakes with him….was kind to every one he met..

  • Scott Sieben says:

I had the pleasure of playing basketball with Gord for Okanagan College, many years ago. He was a great teammate, and the type of person whom you always wanted to see. He had a positive attitude, and it was always great to see him for many years after, while he was on his route, or we were in our daily lives. He had smile and kind word for everyone.
My most sincere condolences to the Hutchinson and Rudolph families.
