We Remember

SANDHAM, Frederick (Freddy)

November 3, 1944 — December 15, 2017

After fighting a long battle with cancer, Fred passed peacefully, with family by his side, holding his hands, on Friday, December 15, 2017, at Hospice House.

Fred was born November 3, 1944, in Kelowna, BC.  He was predeceased by his mother, Nancy Sandham.  Fred will be lovingly remembered and always in the hearts of his wife of 27 years, Jeannie Sandham, daughters Ashley (Chris) Lyon, Dana Ballesto, Shilo Hanna, Lori Nicholls (Paul), Terri Nicholls, all of his grandchildren: Tegan and Zac, Ryan and Conner, Dakoda and Averee, Deziree, Kassidy and Kennedy, along with many friends.

Fred spent much of his life working and enjoying his employment as a logger, long haul truck driver, heavy duty equipment operator, and after retirement, as a handyman.  Fred had a passion for old vehicles and loved attending the car shows, which always brought out the twinkle in those blue eyes of his.

A huge thank you to Dr. Angela Andrucko, who made special house calls, which were very much appreciated.  To all of the staff, nurses, volunteers and dogs at the hospice, you are so wonderful and kind and made this transition for Fred and the family so much easier.  Thank you.  Special thanks to Jodi Macklin for all her help and endless love.

Freddy – you are free of pain now – go and run with Brody in the green pastures above.
