SCHELLENBERG, Erwin

Erwin passed away peacefully on April 11, 2016 at the age of 92. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 65 years Gladys Schellenberg, brother Don, sisters Elsie and Wanda(Babe).Survived by daughter Donna (Richard) Jakubec, sons Douglas, Kevin (Debra); grandchildren Bryan, Rick and Stephan Jakubec, Jarrett Bennett, Kaitlin and Jessica Schellenberg; 6 great grandchildren, and brother Dave.
Erwin was born in Hague, Saskatchewan and moved to Kelowna with his parents in 1940 to Belgo house, where he helped plant and tend to the orchard. Erwin went on to become a well-respected businessman and was involved in many different ventures related to construction and development.
Gladys and Erwin fell in love with Hawaii on a trip in the late 50s and spent many happy winters there after retirement. He will be missed dearly by his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

My thoughts and sympathy to all the family. I have such warm memories of both your Parents. While I have not seen them since we all went to Hapa several years ago,I think of them and you every time I drive past our houses.
