Condolences

  • Ian pippy says:

I had a special place in my heart for my auntie Betty and will miss her dearly

  • Sarah Spinks says:

I have absolutely missed Betty ever since she left Missionwood. She was without a doubt one of the sharpest, wittiest and most honest ladies I have ever met. It is not often that a resident has caught me off guard and made me laugh out loud the way that Betty did. Her stubborn tenacity saw her through so many obstacles in the last few years, coming home to Missionwood even when they thought she couldn’t, and beating the odds when they said she wouldn’t. She was one heck of a lady! To Wayne and Marcia, I am out of town this weekend and will be unable to come pay my respects, please know that I am sending you both big hugs right now!

    Lots of Love
    Sarah Spinks

  • Edward and Beverly Powell says:

Dear Wayne, Marcia, Rebecca, Ralna and family,
We were sorry to learn of the death of Wayne’s mother. She touched your lives in significant ways. I, Edward, remember her smile, her sense of humour and the stylish way in which she dressed. We are grateful that the Lord Jesus said,”Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” Matthew 5:4 We are remembering you in prayer.

  • Don & Zelma Rixmann says:

Our thoughts and prayers are going out to you all. Wayne, we remember your 60th birthday party and how much fun Betty was having, yes, she will be missed! Such fun memories!
    Love to all

  • Barbie Hutton says:

Dear Wayne, Marcia, Rebecca and Ralna, I was so very sad to hear of Auntie Betty’s passing. A woman to be admired for her kindness and elegance indeed, and of course the fabulous dinners she had!
It was an honor to claim her as my auntie.

    Wayne, Marcia and Family;
Sorry to hear of Betty’s passing. We met her in 2005 when we moved to Kelowna and being from Newfoundland and Labrador, we had many things in common. Memories of the excellent visits with her will ever remain with us. We hope that your precious memories of her will strengthen you now and the future. • Lil Harris says:

    Hi Rebecca,
Please know that the Hillside staff is thinking and praying for you today, as you celebrate the life of your grand-mother. Praise God for the hope of Heaven and that you will see her again. For now, she is experiencing Jesus face to face. May that knowledge bring you comfort during this time of sadness.
    In Christ’s Love,
Lil Harris on behalf of Hillside Church
