We Remember

TAYLOR, Clyde

On Monday, February 4, 2019, Clyde Taylor passed away peacefully with his wife, Shelley (Yvonne) Taylor and his son, Michael Taylor, present and holding his hands at his bedside, at the age of 73 years. Clyde will be lovingly remembered by his wife Shelley (nee Tatoiu); daughter Michelle Feltham (nee Gillingham); son Michael Taylor; two grandchildren Aaron Feltham, Amy Feltham; sister Gloria Taylor; nephew Brad Taylor, niece Alyson Simms; and many other family members near and far.  He is predeceased by his infant son, his infant daughter, his father Frank Taylor, and his mother Mary Taylor.  Clyde was a loving husband, kind father and gentle caring man with a beautiful outlook on life.   He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends and fellow Church members.

Clyde was born and raised in St John’s, Newfoundland where he grew his wonderful sense of humor and quick wit which all the family and friends enjoyed. In his early years, Clyde was a musician and a member of a Canadian rock band mostly playing in Western Canada.  Eventually, Clyde settled in Saskatchewan where he married Shelley to begin his family and church life of over 30 years in the Prairies. Once retired, Clyde and Shelley relocated to Kelowna, BC where he enjoyed his passion of nature photography, watching hockey, baseball with his son Michael, and dedicating much of his life towards his relationship with Christ. His favorite Bible verse being Philippians 4:6.

Condolences

  • Heather Hepting says:

My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family. May God give you the peace that you seek.

  • John & Barb Gibbs says:

We have known Clyde for a number of years through our Church. He was very dedicated and so helpful with his knowledge of audio/visual. He had a quick smile and was always willing to show us how to operate the equipment. He had a twinkle in his eye when he mentioned his son and his abilities with sound engineering. He also mentioned … more than once … and with subtilty … his wife’s accomplishments and her aspirations. He clearly was a family man. There is no doubt that we will miss him for all his skills, abilities and just being a really nice person.

  • Dorothy Crandell says:

Thinking of your family and keeping you in my prayers,

  • Dave Hope says:

So sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
