It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Theresa on September 19, 2018 at Kelowna General Hospital after a brief illness.
Theresa was born in Sydney Mines, NS on June 25, 1960, the daughter of Yvonne and the late Alexander Hartland Davis.
Her favourite pastime was fishing. She was an excellent painter and had a very kind soul. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her faith, kindness and compassion.
Theresa is survived by the love of her life John VanDerMeulen, her three children Joe Bonnar (Cathy Garland), Vanessa Bonnar, and Jennifer Power (Chris). She will be missed by her stepchildren Joel VanDerMeulen (Crystal Schultz) & Courtney Sweeney (Tom and their three precious children Kaysen, Kholson and Clarke.) Also missing her will be her brothers and sisters John Davis (Paula), Joan Nugent (Alvin), Darren Davis (Bernadette) and Kevin Davis (Joy) as well as many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her sister Yvonne.
We would like to send a special thanks to the management, employees and residents of Real Star Management who have offered endless support during our time of need. We will be forever grateful.

Oh wow I’m not sure what to say when I saw this…. I worked at Christina river in Fort McMurray with Theresa so was my favorite supervisor. she was the most beautiful kind and loving person I ever meet… I’m so sorry to hear of her passing my thoughts and prayers are with John and the family… she will be missed

John, I will miss Theresa’s cheery presence and helpful ways in the office of The Conservatory. It seems surreal that she is no longer among us. Be kind to yourself, and we residents will try to be kind to you as well, as you grieve your true love.

Theresa seemed to have more life in her little finger than many people we have met in this world. Although my wife and I are new residents in the Conservatory, we very much appreciated her and John’s warm, welcoming assistance.
