We Remember

WADDELL, Edward James “Eddie”

It is with overwhelming sadness that the family of Edward James Waddell announce his unexpected passing on April, 1st 2017 at the young age of 40.

“Ed” is lovingly remembered by his father, Jim (Woody) Waddell, dear mother, Gwen Mercer, step father Art Mercer, big brother Grant Waddell, little brother Tyler Waddell, little sister Heather Waddell, grandmother, Gloria Merchant and warrior soul mate Raija Arvi. Ed will also be missed by his many aunts, uncles and cousins.

His physical presence always radiated immense charisma and natural charm. He was a man of many gifts and passions. If he wasn’t in the kitchen preparing a dish for a loved one, he was using his handy man skills for a project where he was needed. Other interests included his passion for boxing, UFC, hockey, football, hiking, music and a love for all creatures, particularly horses and dogs.

Most of all, Ed will best be remembered for his incredible sense of humor and ability to light up a room with uncontrollable laughter and joy. His natural wittiness was a comforting release and a constant sunshine to those around him.

Ultimately, words do not contain the capacity to justly describe our beloved Ed. Sadly, there has never been and will never be another like him. At the request of his family, a private ceremony will be held.  If you wish to send a condolence, post photos or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”
