Condolences

  • Wm (Derek) FH Somer says:

Three years ago, Judge Wallace gave some very much needed direction for a better life. For this I will always be grateful. I was not alone as many others were touched by her strength and belief in us when we did not have that for ourselves. My heart goes out to the family who shared her with us.

  • Sharon Clark says:

I am so saddened to hear of Anne’s untimely passing. I have quilted a few quilts for her, one being her daughters wedding quilt. She was a very compassionate person who made a difference in this world.

  • Sara Weicker Partridge says:

    Russ, Katie and Lauren,
I was so saddened to hear of Anne’s death. She was one of the most vibrant people I have ever had the good fortune to know. It has been a number of years since I last saw her, but I have always carried her friendship in my heart. We spent many happy hours together when Katie and Daniel were both babies, and now they are both grown and married.
Please accept my love and heartfelt condolences. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
    Much love, Sara

  • Doug and Penny Macfarlane says:

To the Impett and Wallace families,
To lose Anne is a grievous loss. She was everything that is captured in the obituary and more. Anne was a tremendous person, and a most loyal friend–loved by many. She did more than most in her abbreviated lifetime, and was a leader in her profession, and was a caring and compassionate judge, with a huge human side. In her community in Victoria and in Kelowna, and in the church community, she was an enthusiastic and tireless worker. We have many happy memories of her outgoing nature on Newport Ave., at Shawnigan Lake, and on Frederick Norris and elsewhere. RIP, ANNE.

  • Yvonne Topf says:

Hello! We are your neighbours, Dieter and Yvonne. Although we did not know you and Anne well, we enjoyed meeting you both at a neighbourhood Xmas Party and Anne’s compassion and common sense shone through even in that brief encounter. I also remember Anne’s talk to the University Women’s Club when she impressed us with the account of her career path and how she was chosen for her position here in Kelowna. Her clientele was a challenge but she made it clear that her resposibility to them and to society as a whole was an important part of being who she was.
We are shocked and very sorry for your loss.

  • James Lee says:

My condolences. Anne was a very happy, caring & vibrant lawyer while in Victoria. We were all pleased when she was appointed to the Provincial Court.

  • Gary and Freda Dewar says:

Dear Russ and family, we were shocked and saddened to hear of Anne’s sudden passing. We have such good memories of our friendship over the years and often look over to the old cottage and think of your family. You and Anne certainly made our initiation into lake life a wonderful experience and we will treasure the memories of our evening discussions of the problems of the world, community, lake, families and to whether Glenfiddich was as good as Glenlivet. Please let us know when you will be in Victoria and give our love to Katie and Lauren. As well let us know when the Victoria memorial will be held. Freda and Gary

  • Don Craigmyle says:

I am saddened to learn that Anne has gone from us. I will always remember Anne’s generous support when Katie and Lauren were at Uplands School. Anne’s boundless energy, humour, enthusiasm and her support of a rookie Principal will never be forgotten. I still have her gift – a T shirt which read, “First we must kiss all the Lawyers”.
My sincere condolences to Russ, Katie, Lauren and all who have lost a dear friend.
    Don Craigmyle

  • Julia Hung says:

I am deeply saddened by this news. I got to know Anne during my externship at the provincial court earlier this year. I will always remember her exuberance towards life and her wonderful sense of humour. She will be truly missed.
