WALTERS, Marguerite Rose

November 4, 1931 — November 9, 2016

Marguerite Rose Walters passed away peacefully on November 9, 2016 in her 85th year. Born in Kidderminster, England, she emigrated to Vancouver in 1956 with husband Peter and young sons, Paul and Andrew. They established their home on the North Shore, where they welcomed daughters, Vivian and Hilary and were active members of the West Vancouver Baptist Church. Retiring to the Okanagan, Marguerite pursued her love of gardening and was active with friends, church and senior’s groups. Predeceased by husband Peter in 2005, they were married 55 years. Marguerite will be sadly missed by her children, Paul (Susan), Andrew (Jo-Ann), Vivian (Dale) and Hilary (Steve), ten grandchildren Kristina (Hugo), Matthew, Laura, Jared, Hannah, Adrian, Alannah, Allison, Aaron, Andrea, three great-grand children, Micah, Isak, Thorild, sister-in-law Nancy Walters, nephews Nigel and Graham, as well as many friends. “Mum” opened her heart and home to many, and saw the good in everyone. She took great joy in her children and grandchildren and attentively followed their pursuits and accomplishments. The world was a kinder and more loving place with her in it. A memorial service will be held November 18, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna BC.
