We Remember

ZACHOW, Donald Reid

Donald Reid Zachow (Papa, Uncle Don, Don, Donnie Boy, Big D) moved on to his permanent residence in Heaven on Sunday, July 9th, 2017 at the age of 67.

Don is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Diana. They have five amazing daughters and son in laws; Cheryl Zachow & Trevor Lange, Cindy & Sean Gordon, Crystal & Jason Woehler, Chantal & Sean Evaskevich, and Carley Zachow & Shawn Stoddard. Don was very proud of all of his 7 grandchildren; Hayden, Brett, Rylan, Devon, Kylie, Levi and Nolan. Don was the second youngest of seven children, and is survived by sisters Glenda (Vince) Weigel, Carolyn (Jim) Swallow, Gloria Grant, and Pat Zachow (Brian Ralph); his sister in law Debra Paxman, brother in law Stan Paxman, brother in law Michael Korpan and sister in law Ann Korpan. Don is survived by many neices and nephews, Karen (Graham), Tim (Elaine), Cam, Renae (Mike), Curt (Kelly), Desiree, Sherry (Glen), Sheldon, Kim, Sandra, Micheal, Tristan, Tasha, April (Jason), Amy, Angie (Mark), Ashley, Michael, Samantha (Ashley), Bryan; As well as many beloved friends………..

He was a family man who loved to be surrounded by his kids, grandchildren and extended family. The more the merrier…

Don had varied jobs in his earlier years, and in most recent years was self-employed, running a local business in Lake Country, Don’s Bobcat.

Don was a dreamer, always eager to make plans for the next big family adventure or getaway. He loved his tools and always had a project on the go, forever looking to recruit helpers, which was usually one of his daughters.

Don loved gold panning at the family claim on the Kettle River. He spent many hours panning for gold, always searching for that “Big Nugget”.

Don’s journey continues on……

      I’m going to miss you my friend we’ve done a lot of jobs together and I didn’t matter what circumstance we got the job done we were good friends ever since we met in the car accident on Chase Road I’m going to miss you my friend
