We Remember

FRENCH, Howard Gordon

Passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 at the age of 83.  Survived by his loving family, two daughters Jennifer Stephenson (Paul) of Kelowna, BC, Patricia Rintoul (Bruce) of Calgary, AB; four grandchildren: Sarah and Brian Stephenson, Stuart and Alison Rintoul.  Gordon was a brother-in-law to Shirley Hunt, Richard (Patricia) Savin, Judy (Russ) Smye and Doug (Linda) Savin.  Predeceased by his loving wife Joan on Dec. 15, 2014, his parents Howard W. and Lucy Irene French (nee Richardson) and his sisters Grace Stainer and Ruth Hooks.  He will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and many golf buddies.  The family is grateful to all the staff at Sun Pointe Village for their compassionate care of our parents.  A celebration of life for both Joan and Gordon will be held in Oakville, Ontario and will be announced at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the BC Heart & Stroke Foundation, www.heartandstroke.bc.caIf you wish to send a condolence, post photos or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”
