Passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at the age of 83, beloved husband, loving father and grandfather, and dear brother. Gary enjoyed a long career as an engineer technologist in telecommunications, culminating with 18 years of service with Okanagan Telephone (BC Tel, now Telus). Gary is a life member of Telephone Pioneers of America and honorary life member of Telecommunications Workers Union. He lived life to the fullest, participating with co-workers on annual fishing trips, entering curling bonspiels and organizing golf trips in Canada and the U.S. There’s that word – golf. Gary was most definitely a serious golfer at the Kelowna Golf and Country Club where he had maintained membership since the beginning of time. When he wasn’t on the course putting fellow golfers half his age to shame, Gary went on many fabulous trips with his wife Christine, especially to Hawaii and San Francisco (Go 49ers).

Internment to take place at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice. For those wishing to send a condolence, photos or share memories, may do so by scrolling down this page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”
