HILLIARD, Harvey Lewis

Passed away peacefully at the Vernon Hospice on Monday, March 2, 2015 at the age of 90.  Predeceased by his daughter Heather, grandson Darrell, his parents Benjamin and Florence, brother Roy and sister Hazel.  He is survived by his loving wife Stella; children: Randy (Mary), Darrell (Kim), Les (Wendy), step-son Gordon (Cindy) and son-in-law Len; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and sister Audrey.  Harvey had a love of fishing, the outdoors and gardening.  He served in World War II and after the war worked as a heavy equipment operator as well as a Pipeline Inspector for Alberta Gas Trunk Line for numerous years.  Harvey will be missed by all who knew him.  A Memorial Service will be held in Calgary at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the North Okanagan Hospice, 3506 – 27th Avenue, Vernon, BC, V1T 1S4.  If you wish to send a condolence, post photos or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”
