We Remember

HOSTLAND, Morris (Moe) Rodney

July 10, 1934 Medicine Hat, Alta.– May 18, 2015 Kelowna, B.C. with stops in Port Mellon, Port Alice, Vancouver, Woodfibre, Prince Rupert, Gibsons, and Portland.

Morris is survived by his three children, Craig (Patti), Denis (Mickie) and Tracy (John), and ten grandchildren, Peter, Aleta, Terri, Paul, Nikita, Michelle, Jennifer, Chris, Mike and David, and two great grandchildren, Arielle and Zoey. Joan, his wife of 54 years, passed away in 2008.

Morris, affectionately known as Moe and Grandpa was a tremendously (overly) generous and loving person – a trait he learned from his father and passed on to his family and friends. He never wasted an opportunity to share the love of Christ with the people around him, regardless of their appearance or background, as he was always able to look at their heart.

1 Samuel 16:7 “… the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

He is dearly loved and will be missed; but we are most happy that he is finally at home with his many treasures in heaven. No doubt, he is dancing with his wife, Joanie-baby, playing a hand of bridge, and feeling like a million bucks.

A service and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 23rd at 11:00 am at Evangel Church 3261 Gordon Drive, Kelowna, B.C., and all are welcome to attend.
