We Remember

IRVINE, Kevin Ashley

Passed away peacefully, yet suddenly, on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the age of 50.  Survived by his loving wife Fiona; daughter Payton; son Carson; brother Derek (Nora) of Vancouver; sister Colleen of Vancouver and in-law parents: Carmel and David Worrall of West Kelowna and his mother Brandi of Vancouver.  Predeceased by his father Walter.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Kevin graduated high school in 1982 from Sir Winston Churchill.  After a successful career in sales, Kevin was a Regional Road Safety Manager with ICBC in the Okanagan before moving on to great success as a local mortgage broker.  A talented athlete, Kevin excelled in soccer, hockey and skiing.  His newest passion was wake-surfing on Okanagan Lake behind his boat, Surfer’s Paradise.  He loved coaching his son’s soccer and baseball teams.  Kevin’s highest priority and greatest joy was his family, who he treated to adventure holidays in Hawaii, Australia, Florida, Cancun, Disneyland, Club Med, the Caribbean, Las Vegas and Yellowstone……with unfulfilled plans for many more.

    Dear Fiona and family;

    I just saw Kevin at a meeting not long ago with his close buddy Todd. They were like brothers always together and best of friends. Having said that, it is true the love of his family, and the stories of the vacations with you and the children were always cherished memories. I am so sorry for your loss and I can’t help but cry knowing Kevin was so full of life and certainly passed away long before he would be able to fulfill future goals. God bless you and comfort you.

  • Trena Phillips says:

    To Fiona and the Irvine family. I knew Kevin through his work and kept in touch by emails from time-to-time. He made an impact on me because he was such a genuinely kind and caring man. My heart breaks for you at this time of unexpected and devastating loss. Kevin talked of his family and children often and what I took away from my conversations with him was that you were his #1 priority in life. A wonderful person, taken far too soon. I am so very sorry for your loss!

    Dear Fiona and family,
    I was so sorry to hear of Kevin’s sudden passing. I first met Kevin in 2010 when he helped me with a mortgage and I was so impressed with his warmth and dedication. He spoke with such compassion about his family. I last spoke with Kevin in October when he gave me more good advice on renewing my mortgage and told me how to use the speaker phone on my i phone, as he had called me while I was driving.
