We Remember

MUNN, Richard J.

Born on November 19, 1942 and passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 6:45 am.  Dick finished the game of life at “even par,” age 72.  He made some “birdies” along the way augmented with a few “bogies.”  He left family and friends whom he loved and who loved him in return.  As per his wishes, there will be no public service.  His final thought, “What a better world it would be if we all had our trespasses forgiven and learned to forgive those that might have trespassed against us.”  Dick finished his final days at Hospice House in Kelowna.  This facility would be a worthy recipient of any donation you may be considering to make in Dick’s memory.    If you wish to send a condolence, post photos or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”

Dear Sue, it’s been many, many years since we worked together but running into last week was serendipitous in a way. I’m very sorry your wonderful husband is gone. • Christine & Gerry Whittaker says:

Dear Suzie, Our deepest sympathy goes out to you on the loss of your beloved husband, Dick. We remember first meeting both of you on the slopes of Big White almost 30 years ago. We had friendly competitions with you in many Team Supreme and Kelowna Cup ski races. Dick was the champ at guessing his time! We also partied; on Christmas Eve, Dick was the “Host with the Most” (charm, hospitality, and charisma), serving up tortiere, salads, and his sugar pie with a smile. In the summers we’d get together at Duck, Okanagan, and Borderline Lakes, where Dick cheered on Suzie as she competed in water skiing events. Dick was her biggest, most devoted fan. He’d drive the motorhome all around Canada and the USA, stuffed with a menagerie of pets. Dick was certainly dogs’ and cats’ best friend, and we are honored to have called him our friend! Thanks for the wonderful memories, Dick!

  • Russell Howard says:
