Condolences

  • Lori Smith and family says:

I was so sad to hear of the passing of my dearest friend Paul. He was one of the most kindest gentle souls that I have ever known. We will always remember Paul fondly and feel fortunate that we had the pleasure of knowing him. My deepest condolences to his mother, sister and family. “When the time comes for you to die, you need not be afraid, because death cannot separate you from God’s love.” ~ Charles H. Spurgeon

  • Janeen Langlois says:

As I reflect on the last time Paul and I talked and our previous visits I’m reminded of the wealth of knowledge Paul had regarding the aviation world, the history of certain people and places, his openness and love of family, and his truthful way of communicating such. Last week was the first time in five years that we didn’t get together for our monthly meeting and my heart is heavy knowing that there will be no more. I am thankful to have been a small part of his life. My deepest condolences to his Verna, Paula, Family, and Friends.

  • Kevin O'Neill says:

I am very saddened to hear that Paul has passed away. He was a wonderful guy, and an irreplaceable mentor, a superb pilot and engineer, and a flying friend dating back to the mid 1970’s. My sincerest condolences to all of Paul’s family. Blue skies and calm air to you Paul. You will be missed deeply. Kevin and Janine O’Neill

  • Steve Hannah says:

I too was saddened to hear about Paul. We first met in a hangar in Gander NFL. back in the late 70’s. We were both new to the area and we soon became close friends as we figured out what heading to take to get you to such places as Twillingate or Head Bay D’espoir. Over the years we frequented a lot of hangars from there to BC to Inuvik and many places in between. We saw a lot of country together both from the air and on some fun road trips. If there’s a hangar in heaven, you know Paul will find it. If there’s not one, Paul will build it. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

  • Elwood Schmidt says:

I was not aware that Paul had passed until searching archives to help fill in the blanks of my Memoir. Paul and I started work the same year at Alpine in Kelowna as apprentice AME’s. Our paths crossed in Goose Bay when Paul was flying for Okanagan/Universal Helicopters. He was a few years younger than I, but an important influence in my life. My sympathy to Pauls family.
