Gladys passed away on April 16, 2015 at the age of 86. She is survived by her loving husband Erwin Schellenberg, daughter Donna (Richard) Jakubec, sons: Douglas, Kevin (Debra); grandchildren: Bryan, Rick and Stephen Jakubec, Jarrett Bennett, Kaitlin and Jessica Schellenberg; 5 great grandchildren, sisters Paula, Gracie, brother Thomas. Predeceased by her sister Jackie. No service by request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

    I am so sorry to read of Gladys passing. It is a beautiful picture but I always remember her with a tan and a Hawaiian dress and a smile on her face. I just drove by Galdys and Erwins place last week in Parksville, your parents were very good to me that summer and let me stay there.     Whether it was at the McCarthy house with the pool and her fresh strawberry’s at breakfast, Green Bay and the lake or Mali Cove and my antics she was always great to me. She lived a wonderful life. God bless!
