James Albert Howk passed away peacefully with his family by his side on April 19, 2013, at the age of 61. James will be lovingly remembered by son Michael (Becky), daughter Nadine (Kevin), four grandchildren: Owen, Liam, Charlotte and Wyatt, and his mother, Eleanor. He is predeceased by his father Albert and sisters, Barbara and Eileen.
James was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He loved gardening and spending time with his beloved dog, Bailey. He also enjoyed various hobbies, including barbecuing, fly-tying, bargain hunting and working with his hands. James was a Jack of all trades. We will miss his vibrant personality and generous spirit.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 10:00 am at the Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna. Should family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the BC Kelowna SPCA, 3785 Casorso Road, Kelowna, BC V1W 4M7. I am so sorry to hear about James passing away. He has been an awesome friend and neighbor over the years and will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to the family. our deepest condolences, we had the pleasure of renting from james for almost 3 years. had many good chats out back in the garden where he spent a lot of time. very sorry to hear of his passing.
