We Remember
BENNISON, Graham Samual
—
With great sadness the family of Graham Bennison announce his passing On Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at the age of 81. He was a loving husband, devoted father, simply the very best “Gumpie”, loyal brother, and an excellent friend. Graham was born on December 30, 1938 in Princeton, BC; he grew up in Revelstoke, BC, where met and married his lifelong partner, Bev, in 1963. They had three daughters: Karie Lynne (deceased), Michelle, and Anne Marie.
Graham loved his work, building roads right across BC and Alberta; he was working right up to a few months before his passing. An excellent athlete, Graham played hockey, baseball, and golf, and he was also a ski jumper.
His granddaughters Hannah and Mia were his pride and joy – more than anything he loved watching them grow into the wonderful young women they became. He was just in awe of them.
He was sadly predeceased by his daughter Karie Lynne and his parents Lloyd and Edith. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Beverley; daughters Michelle and Anne Marie; granddaughters Hannah and Mia; brothers Bob and Don (Karen); sisters Claudette and Joan (Tom); brother-in-law Ray (Yvonne); and several nieces and nephews; as well as many friends.
Due to the pandemic, the family has postponed the Celebration of Life until it is safe to gather.

Bev and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss of Grahame. He was one of my favorite people. His sense of humor was dry and hilarious! He had the greatest laugh, which he loved to do and his grin was so memorable!
Big hugs to you Bev.

Bev, Michelle & Anne Marie. I’m saddened to hear of Graham’s passing and sorry for your loss. I remember Graham so fondly from Swaisland Road. I miss all of you and look forward to celebrating Graham’s life in person one day. Graham treated me like son and I admired him like a father. I was so fascinated with his stories and experiences. My life is much more rich having known Graham and the Bennison family. Graham was a special guy!
