We Remember
BERGH, June
September 7, 1935 — May 18, 2024
June Bergh, age 88, of Kelowna, BC, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2024. Born on September 7, 1935, in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, June was the beloved daughter of Leith and “Syl” Sylvia Bevan, the second of 10 children.
June was a dedicated registered nurse, starting her career in Summerside, P.E.I, then she worked in Toronto, ON, before moving to Victoria, BC, where she met her husband, Gustav “Gus”.
June and Gus were wed on October 21, 1961, and together they raised 2 children, travelled the world, and especially enjoyed cruise ship living – when they weren’t golfing.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, June is survived by her husband, Gus; daughter, Sandra (Steven), and son, Wayne (Carolyn); 7 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
June will be remembered for her giggle and laugh, her beautiful brown eyes, her kindness & generosity, her love of all creatures, big & small – with her favourite being dogs.
June’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Cottonwoods Care centre Short Stay Unit for their compassionate care.
June’s warmth, big heart, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the SPCA, in June’s memory.
