We Remember

Brownridge-Meyer, Joyce Marlene

August 17, 1951 — March 18, 2023

It is with unbearable heartbreak that we are announcing the passing of Joyce Meyer on March 18, 2023. Joyce unexpectedly passed away in the Kelowna General Hospital, 3 weeks after a very complicated cancer surgery.

Joyce was born in Moosejaw, Saskatchewan to parents Colan & Madonna Brownridge. She had three siblings: Allan, Dave, and Joan. As a young girl, Joyce moved to Regina, Saskatchewan, where she eventually met her forever loving husband of 53 years, Gerry Meyer. Joyce & Gerry have three daughters: Holly, Stacy, and Maureen; eight grandchildren: Bradly, Mathyus, Lisa, Christopher, Ashley, Levi, Britney, and Kelly; and two great-grandchildren: Eli and Dimetri.

Joyce will be forever missed by all that knew her.

We would like to send a special thank-you to Joyce’s doctors and surgeons, Dr Dittaro and Dr Andrea Neilson. Also, thank you to the Doctors and Nurses at the Kelowna General Hospital.

Any donations may be made to the BC Cancer Agency – Sindi Ahluwalia Hawkins Centre for the Southern Interior.

There will be a private Celebration of Life at a later date.

Missing Joyce still everyday…she was my neighbor for 10 years…I miss seeing her sitting outside and so appreciated her loving care of my garden when I was away from my home. Our little talks will always be remembered and her message of “Love”! My condolences to all who loved her…
