We Remember
ELLIOTT, Adam
October 4, 1964 — November 24, 2025
It is with great love and sadness that we announce the loss of beloved father and grandfather, Adam Elliott, who passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, while surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer at the age of 61.
Adam leaves behind a wealth of love, including his children Ryan Adam Elliott, Tia-Nicole Betty Marsten, Anthony Robert Elliott, and Scott Thomas Elliott; step-children Destiny and Jaden Hartgerink; grandchildren Preston, Summer, Alexis, Taylor, Megan, and Madison; and siblings Christopher, Yana, Jan, and Jeremy.
He now goes to join his partner Melissa Otsig and parents Clifford and Betty, who passed before him.
Adam Elliott was born on October 4, 1964, in Peterborough, England, the youngest of five children welcomed by Clifford and Betty Elliott. Growing up in a busy household and facing more than his fair share of challenges, he learned early how to be tough, resourceful, and independent. He carved out a life shaped by stubborn determination, a free-spirited outlook, and a sense of humour that could brighten even the hardest days.
Life dealt Adam unimaginable heartbreak when his partner Melissa passed suddenly in 2013. Though the loss changed him, it never dimmed his outlook. He faced every hardship, including cancer, without complaint—meeting each day with the same quiet resilience that defined him. He found joy in simple pleasures: watching soccer (especially Liverpool), placing a few bets on his favourite teams, cracking open an Old Milwaukee, and enjoying a smoke. One of his proudest moments came in April 2024 when he finally earned his Canadian citizenship, a milestone he celebrated with genuine pride. Above all else, he adored his family—they were his greatest source of joy.
Adam lived life on his own terms—strong-willed, humorous, and endlessly resilient. He will be missed beyond words by everyone lucky enough to have known him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details to be announced.
In honour of Adam, memorial donations may be made to BC Cancer Foundation.
