We Remember

KOPETSKI, Deborah Anne
November 3, 1959 — March 7, 2025
Deborah ‘Debbi’ Anne Kopetski passed away at 65 from medical complications on March 7, 2025. Her final peaceful moments in Kelowna Hospice House were spent with her children by her side. Although Debbi struggled with her health for many years, she prided herself on her independence and grit.
Debbi was born November 3, 1959, the third child of William ‘Bill’ and Cecilia Kopetski. She was a lifelong Kelowna resident, raised on a family cattle ranch at the base of Black Mountain. Debbi could brighten a room and put a smile on any face. She was a pleasant and charismatic social butterfly who attracted beloved friends and cherished acquaintances throughout her life. Debbi worked over 20 years for Kelowna Tree Fruits, where she earnestly made everyone feel cared for and important.
Debbi is survived by her brothers Dennis Kopetski and Gerry Kopetski; her children Andrea (Nathan) Baron, David Reid, and Victoria (Damian) McGuinness; and her grandchildren Aiya Reid, Ethan Baron, Gabriel Reid, Annabel Baron, Delcan McGuinness, Georgia Baron, Davin McGuinness, and Grace Baron.
